P&O Ferries Larne to Cairnryan ferry EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY went back into service this morning, slightly later than previously advised on this site. The Japanese-built ferry arrived back at Larne just before midnight on Monday following dry docking at Cammell Laird, Birkenhead. Since her arrival she was berthed bow-first at Curran Quay, only leaving to turn around at around 14:20 yesterday afternoon.
EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY took over from relief vessel EUROPEAN SEAWAY with this mornings 07:30 sailing ex Larne. The latter vessel arrived at MacKean Quay from Cairnryan on schedule at 05:45 and about an hour later left the port to go out to sea. This allowed EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY to move across to MacKean Quay herself by around 07:00, from where she left for Cairnryan slightly later than scheduled at 07:40. At the time of writing EUROPEAN SEAWAY is berthed bow-in at Curran Quay.
