Ferry operator P&O Ferries has informed customers that EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY will not now return from dry dock until October 3rd.  The Japanese-built Ro-Pax had previously been expected to return to the Larne to Cairnryan route on September 23rd.

It had originally been planned to complete EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY’s dry docking in June, but following delays with part-sister EUROPEAN HIGHLANDER returning from her dry docking most of the work to ‘Causeway’ had to be postponed, with the ship briefly dry docking in July instead in order to satisfy regulatory requirements.  With relief ship EUROPEAN SEAWAY still unavailable, P&O Ferries will continue to offer only a single ship sailing schedule until EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY returns.
