HSC Express to operate in Greek waters having finished Spanish summer charter
The former Larne-based fast ferry HSC EXPRESS has been sold to Greek interests according to ellinikiaktoploia.net (link in Greek). The 1998-built catamaran concluded service with Spanish operator Naviera ARMAS earlier this week and is understood to be currently at the Gran Canaria capital Las Palmas being handed over to new her owners. NIFS understands that the new owners are a new joint-venture between two operators based at the Greek port of Rafina, Golden Star Ferries and Fast Ferries. The new company “Golden Fast Ferries” apparently intend to rename the vessel GOLDEN EXPRESS to operate from Rafina, but it is not yet clear on what route.
