Rederiaktiebolaget Eckerö’s recently acquired Ro-Pax FINBO CARGO left Liverpool for Finland yesterday, with an indicated destination of Naantali.  When she arrives at Naantali (expected May 24th) the former P&O Ferries vessel will visit Turku Ship Repair Yard ahead of her introduction on a new Eckerö Line service between Helsinki (Vuosaari) and Tallinn in June.

With her former name EUROPEAN ENDEAVOUR hastily painted out, FINBO CARGO left Royal Seaforth Dock at around noon to transit through the lock at Gladstone Dock for the final time.

The majority of her final P&O livery, first applied in 2016, remained intact with the only clue to casual observers to her no longer being a P&O Ferries vessel being the top of the P&O flag on her funnels being painted over.

FINBO CARGO will receive a unique Eckerö Line livery when at Turku Ship Repair. Like her former Liverpool to Dublin service, her new service between Vuosaari and Tallinn will focus on freight but also accept passengers with cars.
