Brittany Ferries replacement Santander – Cork ferry KERRY entered service earlier on Thursday. The 2001-built Visentini Ro-Pax is on charter from Stena RoRo for a period of one year.
KERRY takes over from CONNEMARA which has served the route since it first began in April 2018. Like the vessel which replaces her, CONNEMARA is a Visentini-built Ro-Pax ferry chartered from Stena RoRo. A third Visentini Ro-Pax, ETRETAT, is also charted from the Stena subsidiary by Brittany Ferries and utilised on routes from England. KERRY may look familiar to some readers as she was built as a sister to the former STENA FORWARDER (now AF CLAUDIA) which sailed on Stena Line’s Dublin – Holyhead route before the arrival of STENA ADVENTURER.

Like her predecessor, KERRY offers a no-frills “economie” service. Sailings onboard KERRY can be booked on Brittany Ferries’ Irish Site.
