Special timetable in operation between Larne and Cairnryan

P&O Ferries EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY arrived at Cammell Laird Birkenhead around lunchtime yesterday to complete this years planned works. She entered the No.2 dry dock upon arrival at the yard. She also had a brief dry dock earlier in the year at the same yard. However, this had to be cut short as part-sister EUROPEAN HIGHLANDER was off service much longer than expected for her own planned maintenance. With EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY off service, a special single-ship timetable is currently in operation on the route between Larne and Cairnryan.

EUROPEAN HIGLANDER will be the only ship in operation on the route until EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY returns on September 23rd. It was originally planned to use EUROPEAN SEAWAY to provide cover as she did earlier in the year. This has not been possible, however, following an incident in Dunkerque towards the end of last month.
