Following the return of SEATRUCK POWER to service after dry docking this week, Seatruck’s smaller P-Class vessel SEATRUCK PACE (ex CLIPPER PACE) entered dry dock number 7 at Cammell Laird yesterday. SEATRUCK PACE is the third consecutive Seatruck vessel to dry dock at the famous Birkenhead yard. Warrenpoint’s SEATRUCK PRECISION remains on the Dublin to Liverpool route meaning SEATRUCK PERFORMANCE continues to operate opposite CLIPPER POINT (normally a Dublin to Liverpool ship) on the Warrenpoint to Heysham route.
In other Seatruck news, CLIPPER RANGER has arrived in Canada for her one year charter to CTMA. It has been confirmed that CLIPPER RANGER will replace the much older and smaller ro-ro C.T.M.A. VOYAGEUR (previously Sealink’s ANDERIDA amongst others). At present it isn’t known what the future holds for the former Sealink veteran, however. C.T.M.A. VOYAGEUR dates from 1971 and was the last of four similar ro-ro’s (including the former DALRIADA and ULIDA) built for Stena at different Norwegian yards for sale or charter to other operators. She has been in service with CTMA since 1987.
