The latest addition to the Stena Line fleet, “Stena Estrid“, is expected to leave CMI Jinling (Weihai) shipyard in China soon for the Irish Sea. The brand-new ship is expected to stop at Singapore on the morning of November 29th (local time). From there, NIFS believes she will proceed to Europe via the Suez Canal, likely stopping either in Gibraltar or Spain to take on bunkers. In total the journey is expected to take about six weeks.

STENA ESTRID is the first of Stena’s “next generation” E-Flexer ferries. She is expected to enter service on the busy Dublin – Holyhead route early in the new year. Stena Line took delivery of the new ferry at a ceremony hosted by the shipyard last week.
