Visit to Harland & Wolff will be second within six months

Stena Line’s Rosslare – Fishguard ferry Stena Europe is expected to arrive at Harland & Wolff tomorrow morning. The visit will be for the 39-year-old ship’s second dry-docking at the yard this year. Her absence on the Fishguard – Rosslare route will be covered by STENA VINGA. ‘Vinga’ remains on loan to Stena Line Irish Sea from Stena Line Scandinavia.

After completing tonights scheduled 18:10 sailing from Rosslare, STENA EUROPE is expected to stand-down from service before heading for Belfast. STENA VINGA is timetabled to operate tonight’s 23:45 sailing from Fishguard.

At present, STENA VINGA is timetabled to cover the route until at least Sunday December 6. There have been unconfirmed reports online, however, that STENA EUROPE could be in Belfast for up to eight weeks for deck replacement work.

This latest dry-docking follows a visit to Belfast Building Dock from June 17 to July 2 this year. STENA EUROPE also underwent significant life extension work in Turkey last year.
