Update 31.12.18: STENA HORIZON arrived at VT2 at around 08:30 this morning. STENA LAGAN had already left the berth at 08:00 having arrived from Birkenhead at around 06:00, and was assisted into Belfast Dry Dock almost opposite by SVITZER SURREY.

Update 30.12.18 @22:00: STENA HORIZON left Rosslare for Belfast just before 21:00. Her current ETA in Belfast is around 07:20, though as always this is subject to change.

Update 30.12.18 @19:00: STENA LAGAN is currently expected to make her way to Belfast Dry Dock at around 08:30 in the morning. STENA HORIZON is still alongside at Rosslare, though Belfast Harbour booking indicates she is expected to arrive at around 8am tomorrow. There are no sailings scheduled for New Years Eve between Belfast and Birkenhead.

Stena Line’s Rosslare to Cherbourg Ro-Pax STENA HORIZON is expected to arrive in Belfast on Monday (New Year’s Eve) allowing STENA LAGAN to go into Belfast Dry Dock for approx 2 weeks, followed by STENA MERSEY, also for around 2 weeks. Horizon’s first sailing will be the 10:30 ex Belfast on New Years Day. She will remain on the route until 27th January.

STENA NORDICA is expected in Rosslare on Tuesday (New Year’s Day) to cover Horizon’s France schedule in her absence, then the rest of the Irish Sea dry-dockings (STENA SUPERFAST X, followed by STENA SUPERFAST VII and STENA SUPERFAST VIII, and finally STENA EUROPE). She will be staying on the Irish Sea until the end of May, returning to Gdynia on June 3rd, which would indicate a prolonged period at dry dock for STENA EUROPE.

Initially the chartered Ro-Ro VIKINGLAND will cover STENA NORDICA on her normal Karlskrona – Gdynia route until Monday 18th February when BORE BAY takes over. By this stage BORE BAY will have been released from her present North Sea service, probably by STENA FORERUNNER which is due back on the North Sea in early February. There is still nothing confirmed about what will release Forerunner at Belfast, but Stena Line did state previously it would be a similar vessel.
