Looking back from the very front corner of the vessel's passenger accommodation we can see the Met Bar itself in the distance. Further seating more appropriate for eating is behind the bench seat towards the rear of this view, while the truckers restaurant is to the left. Although I have no picture of this area, it is largely unchanged from the Norse Merchant days apart from being completely re-trimmed in Stena's style. © NIFerrySite

All pictures were taken onboard during July 2014 and are © Copyright NIFerrySite unless otherwise stated.

A view showing part of the onboard shop on Stena Mersey. The shop sells a selection of items including but not limited to Fragrances (some good deals when I was onboard), sweets, souvenirs and gifts, and travel essentials. The member of crew manning the shop seemed very knowledgable and keen to offer assistance in choosing fragrances. © NIFerrySite
Link corridor between the rear an front areas of passenger accommodation. This picture is taken looking towards the stern of the ship and so the passenger cabins on this deck are behind the panelling on the right. © Niferrysite
This view is of Teen Town and the exterior of the Cinema. Again this is facing the rear of the vessel. © NIFerrySite

Corridor through the passenger cabin block. This runs straight through this area and can be used as an alternative to the main corridor for walking between the front and rear passenger areas. © NIFerrysite
Facing forward again, this is the end of the main corridor facing the News Room. The corridor through the passenger cabin block emerges to the left as well. © NIFerrySite

Some more Italian wall art. © NIFerrySite
A closer look at the News Room. Just visible on the left of the picture is one of a number of large mirrors onboard the Stena Mersey. Also to the left and out of shot is where the corridor through the passenger cabin block emerges. © NIFerrySite
Inside view of the News Room. The TV Screen features live news throughout the crossing. © NIFerrySite
Another shot of the news room, this time looking towards the main corridor. © NIFerrySite
Continuing our walk towards the bow (front) of the ship, we next pass through one of the main seating areas, the Barista Coffee Shop. This view is taken from the other side looking towards the news room (the glass panels in the background). © NIFerrySite.
Squeezed in a corner at the rear of Barista is this small Curious George themed children’s play area. © NIFerrySite
The 2 main walkways through Barista merge here in-front of the staircase to the main cabin deck. These double doors lead to the pod lounge, Stena Plus, and then the Met Bar and Grill, as well as the truckers restaurant. © NIFerrySite
Taken from the same position as the last photograph, this view shows the passenger staircases to the main cabin accommodation and uppermost vehicle deck. © NIFerrySite
Immediately to the left as you go through the double doors is the pod lounge, with the small but adequate Stena Plus area in front of it. The area behind the photographer contains the main toilet facilities of the ship. © NIFerrySite
A few steps forward and past Stena Plus we come to the Met Bar and Grill. This area has received a major overhaul in the past year and is much improved with hotplates holding the more popular meals ensuring much faster service. © NIFerrySite
A shot along the hot plate showing some of the selection of foods ready to be taken away when placing your order. Items such as Steaks and Pizza’s are still cooked to order and brought to your table. Food was found to be tasty, well cooked, and good value (for a ferry). © NIFerrySite
