Farewell Stena Mersey! Liverpool ferry leaves Belfast for the final time
Stena Line’s Belfast – Liverpool ferry ‘Stena Mersey’ left Belfast for the last time last night, bringing an end to nearly 15 years service on the route.
Prior to a move across the River Mersey to 12 Quays Birkenhead, the Belfast to Liverpool ferry service had to pass through the Liverpool lock system to a berth at Bootle. The final operator of this service was Norse Merchant Ferries.
