BLUE STAR MYCONOS is an Attica Group-owned ferry which currently operates under the Blue Star Ferries brand. She previously sailed for sister company Hellenic Seaways as NISSOS MYCONOS. She was originally delivered from the Skaramangas Shipyards as BLUE STAR CHIOS for Blue Star Ferries in 2004.
For a modern vehicle and passenger ferry she has a small vehicle to passenger ratio, accommodating almost 2,000 passengers but having less than 530 lane metres for freight. This is as a result of being specifically designed for the Greek island trade. BLUE STAR MYCONOS can accommodate up to 418 cars, however.
Attica Group start a new service linking Thessaloniki with the Islands of the North Aegean, Cyclades, and Piraeus from March 6.
