LODBROG (ex BOLERO / TUZLA / SIEGELBERG)
SIEGELBERG was launched on 29th November 1983 at the East German yard of VEB Mathias Thesen Werft in Wismar for German Deutsche Seereederei. However she was delivered as a finished vessel to Compania de Navigatie Romline as TUZLA in 1985 having been left uncompleted after her launch. She was chartered by Seatruck in 1996 and renamed BOLERO, becoming their first vessel and the one that re-eastablished the Warrenpoint – Heysham freight ferry service which previous operators Merchant Ferries had moved to Dublin. Her charter to Seatruck was short, lasting just over a year, after which she was used by other operators such as Estline and Norfolk line. In 2001 she was converted to a state of the art cable laying vessel by Remontowa in Gdańsk.
