Irish Ferries announced earlier today that they have cancelled all sailings to France this year operated by their new ferry W.B. YEATS. Meanwhile, despite Irish Ferries stating that they expect the new vessel to be in service in September, it appears they are no longer taking any bookings for her specifically.
Irish Continental Group plc has entered into an agreement, with the German company Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesselschaft & Co.KG , whereby FSG has agreed to build a cruise ferry for ICG at a contract price of €165.2 million. Upon completion, it will be the largest cruise ferry in the world in terms of vehicle capacity.
