Due to ongoing technical problems with the fast craft Manannan, Isle of Man Steam Packet Company will be using P&O’s ‘Express‘ tomorrow morning. She will return to P&O for the evening sailing to Troon. She will leave Larne at 07:00 arriving in Douglas 09:45, departing Douglas 11:00 and returning to Larne at 13:45 in plenty of time for her 16:00 departure to Troon. Tomorrows Belfast – Douglas sailing is of course cancelled, as are Manannan’s Liverpool sailings. Liverpool passengers are being transferred to the Ben My Chree sailings from Heysham instead. Due to the technical problem with European Causeway, P&O have published the following timetable for the following two days: Tuesday 31.03.15 Ex Larne – 19:30 Ex Cairnryan – 22:45 Wednesday 01.04.15 Ex Larne – 02:45, 10:00 & 17:15 Ex Cairnryan – 06:00, 13:15 & 21:00 European Causeway remains at the MacKean quay meaning European Highlander is still using the single level loading Curran Quay.
P&O have posted to their official twitter account that they will be taking no new bookings until 02.04.15. It would appear that European Causeway has suffered some sort of technical failure, as she has been on the regular berth at Larne since this morning. European Highlander is using the alternative berth at Curran Quay instead, while Express is off service due to the weather. The latest P&O sailing information can be obtained from their Travel Information and Weather Line on +44 (0)845 832 8888 Stena Line services to and from Cairnryan are currently operating as normal. suffering delays due to the weather, the 19:30 departures are delayed by 30mins at time of writing. Tonight’s departure ex Birkenhead is cancelled. One assumes this is due to Stena Feronia doing a tour of the North Welsh coast at present! The Belfast departure is leaving 30 mins early, I assume due to the weather. As always, please check with Stena directly for the latest sailing information.
Stena Feronia‘s sailings today have been cancelled, I assume to address the technical issues which have plagued her since entering service in place of Stena Mersey on the Belfast – Birkenhead run. She is currently at anchor off Liverpool and scheduled to depart Birkenhead early tomorrow morning according to Stena’s Ferrycheck website.
