    PR: Tipping point for Seatruck.

    Records are tumbling on the Seatruck Ferries Warrenpoint to Heysham freight ferry service. 2016 saw the largest number of freight vehicles ever to use the twice daily service as the route achieved what is expected to be the largest percentage freight growth of any Northern Irish ferry service. 2017 has also started strongly with the largest ever number of unaccompanied freight trailers using the service in week 3. Seatruck specialise in the movement of unaccompanied trailers which helps transport operators to use both their equipment and drivers more efficiently. The recent opening of the Heysham M6 Link Road connecting junction 34 of the M6 directly with Heysham Port, at the other end of the Warrenpoint route is proving very attractive…

    Seatruck update – Deployment of third Dublin-Liverpool vessel delayed.

    Clipper Ranger required at Warrenpoint. The deployment of the Clipper Ranger as the 3rd vessel on Liverpool Dublin has been delayed by a week, due to a technical issue with Clipper Pennant.  In order to allow this problem to be fixed, Clipper Ranger will cover on the Warrenpoint to Heysham service.  Seatruck have reported strong interest in the recently announced additional departures from Dublin and Liverpool, with unaccompanied freight services continuing to grow as haulage companies continue to seek to utilise drivers more effectively.

    SAILING UPDATE: Stena Line: Services to and from Cairnryan are expected to be disrupted today with the 07:30 ex Cairnryan and 03:30 and 11:30 ex Belfast already cancelled. All other services except the 23:30 departures are currently listed as ‘in doubt’ on Stena’s Ferry Check website http://www.stenaline.co.uk/latest-sailing-updates. Services to and from Birkenhead are operating to schedule according to the service. Update:  All Stena services from 19:30 onwards are operating to schedule P&O Sailings to Cairnryan are currently advised to be operating on schedule, but with high winds in the North Channel (gale force 8) and 6-8 metre waves predicted it is reasonable to say there may be disruption later on.
