STENA VOYAGER is towed out to Belfast Lough

On this day 8 years ago, Sunday 5th May 2013, HSS STENA VOYAGER departed Belfast, under tow for the last time.

Having completed Stena Line service on 20th November 2011, the second vessel in the HSS 1500 series remained laid up at her berth in Belfast Harbour for almost 18 months. Entering service in July 1996, she saw just over 15 years of operation.

This photo feature charts her departure that morning and also includes some internal views from the vessel during her time of layup at Belfast.

STENA VOYAGER’s ultimate destination was Landskrona, Sweden and a Stena Metall recycling plant where she was broken up.
