Today marks the fifth anniversary of the final departure of HSS STENA VOYAGER from Belfast on May 5th 2013. The revolutionary fast-craft was towed by the tug AGAT, with a destination of the Öresundsvarvet shipyard in Landskrona, Sweden to be recycled.

The final departure of STENA VOYAGER followed the successful introduction of the sister-ships STENA SUPERFAST VII and STENA SUPERFAST VIII during November 2011. These large RoPax vessels were comprehensively refurbished specifically for their new service. In addition to HSS STENA VOYAGER the Superfast vessels also replaced the 2 conventional vessels on the route, STENA CALEDONIA and STENA NAVIGATOR.
