This coming Thursday (18th September) sees the arrival of the largest cruise ship ever to visit Belfast, Princess Cruises 142,712 GT “Royal Princess”. Â Launched in August 2012, Royal Princess has capacity for 3,600 passengers. Â She has one sister ship called “Regal Princess” and P&O’s new flagship “Britannia” is also based on her design. Â Measuring 330m long (Ruby Princess is “only” 290m long) she is sure to dominate Belfast port when she arrives at 08:00. Â She is expected to depart at 18:00 that evening. Royal Princess will be the penultimate cruse ship arrival of 2014.
The final cruise ship of 2014 will visit on October 4th and is PCL’s Insignia.
