Sailing update: Storm Desmond sailing delays and cancellations.

Ferries cancelled or delayed due to adverse weather on services from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Early Saturday morning update (3am):

in addition to the delays and cancellations below, Stena Superfast X’s 02:30 departure from Dublin and 08:55 from Holyhead, and Stena Europe’s 09:00 from Rosslare have been cancelled due to weather conditions. Irish Ferries 01:15 from Dublin to Holyhead has been delayed, having left Dublin just a few minutes ago, whilst all sailings from Rosslare to Pembroke on Saturday are either cancelled or in doubt.  Ulysses scheduled departure from Holyhead at 02:40 has been missed, and she is still on the berth at the Welsh port.  P&O’s Norbay looks to be running behind schedule between Liverpool and Dublin.

Below is a snapshot of how things stand at present (19:20 Friday 4th December 2015).

NI – UK

Belfast – Cairnryan (Loch Ryan Port)

No information on any cancelled sailings yet, however crossings tomorrow in particular are expected to be very rough.

Belfast – Liverpool (Birkenhead)

Both tonights sailings and the departure tomorrow (Saturday) morning in both directions have been cancelled due to rough weather.  The next sailing currently expected to operate is the 22:30 in both directions tomorrow night (5/12/15).

Belfast – Heysham (freight)

Believed to be operating to schedule.

P&O

No cancellations or delays notified as of yet, however as with Stena, crossings tomorrow in particular are expected to be very rough.

Seatruck

Warrenpoint – Heysham

The 21:30 sailing from Heysham is cancelled, however the 21:00 from Warrenpoint is currently set to sail.

Ireland – UK/France

Dublin – Holyhead

No delays or cancellations notified at present, with both vessels operating to schedule.

Rosslare – Fishguard

The 21:15 departure from Rosslare is cancelled due to weather, as is the 02:30 departure from Fishguard.

Rosslare – Cherbourg

At present Stena Horizon looks set depart Rosslare at 16:30 tomorrow as scheduled.

Irish Ferries

Dublin – Holyhead

All Dublin – Holyhead sailings onboard the Jonathan Swift fast craft have been cancelled for both today and tomorrow (Saturday).  Passengers should be accommodated onboard the conventional vessels instead.

Rosslare – Pembroke

“Due to adverse weather conditions at sea, sailings on this route have been disrupted.

The MV Isle of Inishmore is expected to arrive in Rosslare tonight at 22.00 hours.

Tonight’s 20.45 hours sailing from Rosslare is expected to sail at approximately 23.45 hours.”

Tomorrow’s (Saturday) 08:45 and 14:45 Rosslare to Pembroke sailings have been cancelled.

Dublin – Cherbourg & Cherbourg – Rosslare

Sailings currently appear to be operating to schedule.

Dublin – Liverpool

All services are currently notified as operating to schedule.

Seatruck

Dublin – Liverpool

Tonights 21:00 to Liverpool and 23:00 to Dublin are currently set to sail. 

Dublin – Heysham

Saturdays 03:00 Heysham – Dublin and 16:00 Dublin to Heysham have been cancelled
