Update 08.05.19 @ 08:00: OSCAR WILDE arrived at the San Giorgio del Porto S.p.A. shipyard in Genoa yesterday at around 14:00 local time (UTC +2). Coincidentally she is moored on the other side of the pier to LE RIF, the former GALLOWAY PRINCESS / STENA GALLOWAY. To the starboard side of LE RIF is Moby Lines MOBY DREA, the former TOR BRITANNIA / PRINCE OF SCANDINAVIA.

The former Irish Ferries Rosslare to Cherbourg/Roscoff cruise ferry OSCAR WILDE left Belfast for a new career with GNV in the Mediterranean this afternoon.

OSCAR WILDE was the last in a long line of vessels which operated from Rosslare to France for Irish Ferries and predecessor Irish Continental Line. Her effective replacement, W.B. YEATS, serves Dublin instead of Rosslare.

OSCAR WILDE was originally Jahre Line’s (later absorbed into Color Line) KRONPRINS HARALD and was completed in Finland in 1987.

She was sold by Irish Ferries owner Irish Continental Group to GNV owner MSC last month in a hire-purchase arrangement.
