Having left at around midnight, P&O Ferries EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY arrived at Birkenhead just before 8am yesterday morning and went straight into dry dock 7 at Cammell Laird, assisted by SMIT SANDON.  About an hour later, Seatruck Ferries SEATRUCK PROGRESS entered dry dock 5 with the assistance of SMIT BARBADOS and SMIT SANDON.  SEATRUCK PROGRESS had originally been expected to visit Harland & Wolff a week ago, but a change of plan meant she was instead tied up at Liverpool before crossing the River Mersey (via Liverpool Anchorage) to the Birkenhead yard yesterday.

Normally Warrenpoint-based SEATRUCK PRECISION remains on the Dublin to Liverpool route covering for sister ‘Progress’ with the smaller CLIPPER POINT covering at Warrenpoint.  EUROPEAN SEAWAY continues her stint at Larne in place of EUROPEAN CAUSEWAY, which is now expected to return to service with the 04:00 departure from Larne on July 9th.
