The 2024 Stena Line Irish Sea ferry fleet is right in the middle of the annual overhaul programme. Add in port maintenance, mechanical issues with a veteran vessel and the start of a new route, there is a lot going on!
Stena Line is taking bookings for new pet friendly cabins on its Harwich – Hook van Holland route. The company has also improved its duty free offer onboard.
Stena Line kicks off 2022 with various fleet and route moves. In our first report we look at the North Sea where there is a new route and two new vessels.
Stena Line’s Stena Europe is a Swedish-built multipurpose ferry which normally serves the route between Fishguard and Rosslare.
Stena Hibernia first of 9 Stena Line vessels to visit Harland and Wolff. Stena Line kicked off their 2017 Irish Sea refit programme today (Wednesday), with Stena Hibernia making the short journey across the River Lagan to Harland and Wolff’s ‘Belfast Dry Dock’. Stena Europe will be next to go for refit on Jan 4th, covered by Stena Nordica which is returning to the Irish Sea as the refit cover vessel this year. This follows spells on the English Channel and Mediterranean with DFDS and GNV respectively, following her displacement on the Dublin to Holyhead route by Stena Superfast X.
