Update 13.03.19 @ 15:00: STENA EUROPE left Fishguard for Gibraltar at around 10:45 having stayed in the Welsh port overnight through the worst of Storm Gareth. Her voyage to Turkey is likely to take up to 10 days. You can view a short statement from Stena Line about the dry docking here.

Update 11:03.19 @ 05:00: STENA NORDICA left Belfast for Rosslare at around 18:30 yesterday and will soon pass Arklow. STENA SUPERFAST VIII left Belfast Dry Dock a bit later than planned at around 16:20 and took up the 19:30 sailing from Belfast, leaving around an hour late. This means the two Superfast sisters were on the opposite sides of the North Channel to usual overnight but will return to normal from the 07:30 departure due to there being no 03:30/03:45 sailing today. STENA EUROPE is currently still in Rosslare and timetabled to operate this mornings round trip with STENA NORDICA taking over for the 18:10 ex Rosslare forward.

Update 09.03.19 @ 18:30: STENA SUPERFAST VIII appears to have been delayed and is now not scheduled to leave dry dock until tomorrow lunchtime according to Harbour Booking. This means STENA NORDICA now won’t be in service at Rosslare until Monday evening at the earliest.

STENA SUPERFAST VIII is currently expected to leave Belfast Dry Dock tomorrow (Saturday) evening for layover at the Ship Repair Quay. She is scheduled to resume service on the Belfast to Cairnryan route with the 11:30 ex Belfast on Sunday. Her return will release STENA NORDICA to cover STENA EUROPE on the Rosslare to Fishguard route. Belfast harbour booking indicates she will leave for the Wexford port at around 6 am on Sunday morning.

STENA EUROPE will be absent from the Fishguard route for 3 months as of this coming Sunday evening for a life-extending refit. It has been reported that this is to take place in Turkey. STENA NORDICA will be the relief vessel throughout the duration of Europe’s absence, with the latter currently timetabled to return on Wednesday 12th June. Nordica will take up the Fishguard schedule with the 18:10 ex Rosslare on Sunday (10/3).
