DFDS is reducing its ferry service between Ireland and France to a two ship operation according to the latest timetable.
Despite numbers slashed in 2020, France-based ferry company Brittany Ferries is looking positively to the future.
Brittany Ferries’ enhanced “Brexit-busting” Ireland – France services begin tonight, 4 February, when the ARMORIQUE departs Rosslare for St Malo at 2000. The vessel is due to arrive at Rosslare for the first time around 1600 today. ARMORIQUE had sailed early Wednesday from her lay-up at Le Havre to Ouistreham (Caen) to pick up crew and stores before departing in the afternoon for Ireland. The ferry operator reports that space is available on board, and that hauliers wishing to book a space can do so by calling the company’s freight reservations office on +44 (0)330 159 5000. It has emerged that Brittany Ferries is to soon announce further expansion of its ferry services between France and Ireland.
Brittany Ferries has announced that it will start its Rosslare – Cherbourg route two months early in response to freight demand.
Stena Line has confirmed that it will offer additional sailings from Dublin to France in response to demand from hauliers.

Irish Ferries announced earlier today that they have cancelled all sailings to France this year operated by their new ferry W.B. YEATS. Meanwhile, despite Irish Ferries stating that they expect the new vessel to be in service in September, it appears they are no longer taking any bookings for her specifically.
The sailing from Rosslare to St Nazaire this evening marks the end of a service which was started less than a year ago, linking the Wexford port to Gijon in Spain via St Nazaire.
