With weather warnings in place for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, we take a look at the current sailing status of the main ferry routes.

Northern Ireland

P&O Ferries and Stena Line services are all currently expected to sail, though with gusts of up to 60mph expected in coastal areas later, this may change.  At present (18:40), all sailings today to Cairnryan and Birkenhead are on time.  If you plan to travel, please keep an eye on your chosen operators sailing updates page:

Republic of Ireland

This mornings sailings from Rosslare to Fishguard and Pembroke were delayed, as are the return crossings this afternoon.  Tonights sailings have been cancelled by Stena Line and Irish Ferries with STENA EUROPE and ISLE OF INISHMORE expected to ride out the storm at Rosslare.  STENA EUROPE is currently en route to Rosslare while ISLE OF INISHMORE is currently expected to leave Pembroke Dock at 19:45.  STENA NORDICA left Rosslare for Fishguard a short time ago. It is assumed she is crossing to ride out the storm at the Welsh port. There will be no space for her at Rosslare once STENA EUROPE and ISLE OF INISHMORE arrive from Wales.

Ireland – France

Stena Line cancelled tonights sailing from Rosslare to Cherbourg (and so also the return journey from France tomorrow).  Irish Ferries EPSILON left Dublin for Cherbourg at the revised time of 16:00 instead of 18:30.  STENA HORIZON is currently moored at Rosslare as a result of the Rosslare – Cherbourg cancellation.

Central Corridor

At present both operators Dublin to Holyhead sailings are still running to schedule.  P&O Ferries sailings between Dublin and Liverpool also appear to be running on time.
