Update 05.01.19 @ 08:00: After discharging her load from Belfast after arriving at 12 Quays South just before midnight, STENA FORERUNNER left Birkenhead at around 05:00 this morning for Rosslare. Her current ETA is around 13:00 this afternoon. She is currently scheduled to leave Rosslare for France at 16:30, arriving in Rosslare at 10:30 tomorrow morning before starting the return journey to Rosslare at 15:00.
Due to delays in STENA NORDICA starting service on the Rosslare to Cherbourg route, STENA FORERUNNER will make a single round trip on that route on Saturday and Sunday. This is instead of her usual weekend layover in Birkenhead. With Irish Ferries EPSILON in dry dock at Brest and OSCAR WILDE still covering the Dublin to Holyhead route while W.B. YEATS is readied for service, there has been no direct Ireland to France sailing from either Rosslare or Dublin for a number of days.
At present STENA NORDICA is timetabled to be in service on the French route from Tuesday, with STENA FORERUNNER appearing on the Belfast to Birkenhead timetable again from Monday. STENA MERSEY and STENA HORIZON are also on the schedule to sail between Belfast and Birkenhead during the day time on Monday, instead of laying over as is usual.
